Up until the 1950s and 1960s, Paris and New York reigned supreme as the capitals of the creative world. But soon new cities, new countries and new continents began to appear on the global map of modern art. Among these vibrant Hot Spots of the post-war period were the tropical metropolis of Rio de Janeiro, the industrial belt south of the Alps linking Milan and Turin, and the futuristic city of Los Angeles along the Pacific coast of the United States.

The Kunsthaus Zürich unites these creative centres in a new exhibition. A tonwelt audioguide, available in German or English, gives visitors a closer look at the three cities, their fascinating protagonists and their unique style.
